Posted: September 17, 2019

As part of RAP’s Enrichment Programme, on Tuesday 17th September, students were taken on a trip to Bletchley Park; the top secret home of the WW2 Codebreakers. This cross-curricular trip brought different subjects together such as; Maths, Physics, Computing and History. Students were able to explore the historical grounds of Bletchley Park, take part in code- breaking exercises, watch a short film that explained the importance of Bletchley park in WW2, celebrate the contributions of the brave men and women who worked tirelessly to ensure Britain won WW2 and understand how coding that was used almost 100 years ago, is the basis of what companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Google and Barclays still use today.
