On Tuesday 22nd September 2020, we held our FIRST ‘RAP 4 U Coffee Morning’. Guardians and carers were invited to meet Miss Oloyede (SENCO) in order to build an ongoing positive relationship and give them an insight into how we support their child(ren) with Special Educational Needs, through teaching and learning. Not only do we want our students to be happy and make progress whilst they are with us, we also want them to thrive when they move on to another educational establishment. Guardians/carers also had an opportunity to ask the SENCO questions in regards to SEN and iron out anything they where unsure about. What was covered:
- What is SEND
- Who is involved and what is their role?
- Professionals and services available for children and families
- How we cater to your child at RAP
- Importance of parental involvement
