Geography is a focus within the curriculum for understanding and resolving issues about the environment and sustainable development. It is also an important link between the natural and social sciences. As pupils study geography, they encounter different societies and cultures. In Geography, KS3 students are taught both physical and human aspects of the subject. They become familiar with the terminology within the subject and apply it in their work. The topics studied include Globalisation & Urbanisation, Development & Coastal Environment, Tourism & USA.

At RAP we believe studying History is important because it allows us to understand our past, which in turn allows to understand our present. If we want to know how and why our world is the way it is today, we have to look to history for answers. Topics studied at RAP include Civil War & Medieval England, Slave Trade & the American Civil Rights Movement, Crime and Punishment & the Holocaust.
